The Hot Air Balloon is multifunctional, serving both as a sculpture and a light source. The process for developing the form of the sculpture began is inspired from Midjourney’s AI. This allowed for narrowing down ideas and a hypothetical visualization of the project.
A combination of all the precedents was developed into the final shape of the sculpture using Rhino’s SubD software. Standing at 7.3 inches tall and 5.7 inches wide, the sculpture provides both a final visualization of combining media and fabrication techniques while also adding a nice touch to my bedside table.
